Privacy policy

1. Who is responsible

The controller of your personal data is TODO: company name, TODO: registered address, operating CaravanBot (caravanbot.com). Contact: contact@caravanbot.com.

2. What we collect

• When you order: your email address, first and last name, the name of your game server, what you ask the bot to do, your order details (product, price, Bitcoin quote and payment status), and the IP address and browser user agent the order was placed from.
• When you write to us: your name, email address, the server you mention and your message.
• While we set up and support the bot: the information you send us by email about your server and your setup.

We do not collect card details, postal addresses or phone numbers, and we do not use analytics or advertising trackers.

3. Why we use it

• To take and fulfil your order: set up the bot, confirm your payment, send renewal requests and support (performance of the contract).
• To keep records of sales as required by accounting and tax law (legal obligation).
• To prevent fraud and abuse of the order form, using the IP address (legitimate interest).
• To send you news about CaravanBot, only if you ticked the box at checkout (consent, which you can withdraw at any time).

4. Who processes it for us

• MongoDB Atlas (MongoDB, Inc.): the database that stores orders and messages.
• Resend (Resend, Inc.): sends our emails (order confirmations, payment details, replies).
• Vercel (Vercel Inc.): hosts this website.

These providers may process data outside the European Economic Area; where they do, the transfer relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or an equivalent safeguard. The Bitcoin exchange rate is fetched from CoinGecko by our server; no personal data is sent to CoinGecko. We do not sell your data.

5. Bitcoin payments are public

Bitcoin transactions are recorded on a public blockchain. Anyone can see the amount and the addresses involved, though not your name. We link a payment to your order only in our own records.

6. How long we keep it

Order records are kept for as long as accounting and tax law requires. Messages and setup correspondence are kept while your subscription is active and for up to two years after it ends, unless you ask us to delete them sooner and no law requires us to keep them.

7. Cookies

This site only uses what it needs to work: browser storage for the checkout and a session cookie for our admin area. No analytics or advertising cookies are set.

8. Your rights

You can ask us for access to your data, to correct or delete it, to restrict or object to its use, and to receive it in a portable format. Write to contact@caravanbot.com. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
